1. Who We Are

CVwise is operated by AppTechno (apptechno.net). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using CVwise at cvwise.apptechno.net, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: Email address, name (optional), authentication provider (email or Google).
CV data: Uploaded CV files (PDF, DOCX) and their parsed text content.
Job data: URLs and text you submit for job description analysis.
Usage data: Number of optimizations used, subscription tier, timestamps.
Payment data: Managed entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials.
Analytics: Standard web analytics (page views, referrers) via Vercel. No personal identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the CVwise service.
To process your CV with Claude AI (Anthropic) for optimization. CV content is sent to Anthropic's API and subject to their privacy policy.
To manage your subscription via Stripe.
To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
To send transactional emails (account, billing, subscription renewal reminders).

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled — only you can access your own data. CV files are stored in Supabase Storage with private access. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and CV data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your CV files and personal data are removed within 30 days.

6. Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude AI): CV and job content is processed via Anthropic's API.
Supabase: Database and file storage provider.
Stripe: Payment processing. We never see your card details.
Vercel: Hosting and CDN.
Jina Reader API: Used to extract text from job posting URLs. The URL is sent to Jina's servers.
Google AdSense: Shown to free-tier users. Google may set cookies for ad personalization.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (Supabase Auth). Google AdSense may use advertising cookies for free-tier users. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect authentication.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@apptechno.net for any requests.
