1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CVwise at cvwise.apptechno.net, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. CVwise is operated by AppTechno.

2. Service Description

CVwise is an AI-powered CV optimization tool that uses Claude AI (Anthropic) to tailor your resume to specific job postings. The service includes CV parsing, job description analysis, AI optimization, and export features (PDF and DOCX for Pro plans).

3. Subscriptions & Billing

CVwise offers the following plans, all as auto-renewing subscriptions:

Free: 3 AI optimizations/month at no cost. No credit card required.
Pro Monthly ($11.99/mo): Auto-renews every month.
Pro Yearly ($99.99/yr): Auto-renews every 12 months.
Pro 3-Year ($279.99): Auto-renews every 36 months. Your price is locked for the subscription period.

You will receive a reminder email 7 days before any renewal. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method via Stripe on each renewal date. Prices are in USD and include applicable taxes where required.

4. Payment Failure & Service Suspension

If a scheduled renewal payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), the following grace period applies:

Day 0 — Immediate notification: You will receive an email alerting you to the failed payment. Your Pro access continues uninterrupted during the grace period.
Day 3 — Final reminder: A second email is sent with the number of days remaining before suspension.
Day 7 — Service suspension at 00:00 UTC: If the payment has not been resolved after 7 days, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan at midnight UTC. Pro features (DOCX export, cover letter generation, 50 optimizations/month) will be restricted to Free plan limits.

Your data is never deleted due to payment failure. All saved CV versions, cover letters, and account history remain intact. Resubscribing at any time restores full Pro access immediately.

Stripe may attempt automatic payment retries during the grace period. A successful retry cancels the suspension process. You can update your payment method at any time via your account dashboard.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until that date. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining unused time in your current billing period.

6. Refund Policy

All subscription payments are non-refundable for the current billing period. This applies to monthly, yearly, and 3-year plans. Once a billing period has started (whether monthly, annual, or 3-year), no refund is issued for the unused portion of that period.

Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of billing errors or technical failures directly attributable to CVwise. To request a review, contact support@apptechno.net within 7 days of the charge.

7. Usage Limits

AI optimizations are counted per use and reset on the 1st of each calendar month, regardless of your plan or signup date. Unused optimizations do not carry over. Rate limits (max 10/hour, 30/day) apply to all plans to prevent abuse.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service to process data you do not own or have authorization to use.
Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or authentication.
Use automated tools to make bulk requests beyond normal usage.
Resell or sublicense access to the service.

9. AI Output Disclaimer

CVwise uses Claude AI to generate suggestions and rewrites. AI output is provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers. CVwise does not guarantee job interview outcomes or employment results.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your CV content. By using the service, you grant CVwise a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your CV content to train AI models.

11. Limitation of Liability

CVwise and AppTechno are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
